Saving streaming media with slidesWhen dealing with SMIL presentation metafile (redirector) OEP/OEE could be the best choice. If there is a complete presentation including text, links, pictures, or anything else (.rm, .ra .rp, .rt, .swf, .jpg, .gif, .bmp) in addition to just the streaming media file, then OEP/OEE would be able to properly get the majority of such files (it depends on a format of SMIL metafile) If a presentation runs its slides in a browser or player window, there is no stream recorder that can help you to record it. Though you may download the media stream without slides. Also you may save the HTML slides whether manually or using some automation software which saves your browser content periodically. After that you may run your HTML slides manually or edit your media clip so that it runs the local slides (special software required supporting such editing). As for presentations which slides are controlled by client-side scripts (JavaScript, VB Script) you may save your browser content whether manually or using some automation software. Although in this case it will be hard to make your slides running locally and synchronously with the media clip if you are not a computer geek. The simplest way to record any presentation is by using Screen capture software.
