Hacked version of this program allows you to work with RTSP/PNM protocols. It also doesn't call native website http://www.streambox.com
This program can postprocess files like
- .RAM (Real Media),
- .ASX (Windows Media),
- .SMIL (Real media content),
- .PLS (MP3 stream),
- .MOV (QuickTime)
to derive links.
Disallowed characters are NOT removed from filename.
So while saving file (especially when it's added after postprocessing), don't forget to check its filename for disallowed characters
(Don't use symbols like ':', '/', etc. prohibited by your filesystem). Otherwise you won't be able to save file.
Also filename changing procedure doesn't seem to work correctly in this version of the program
(So I personally prefer to derive link from RAM file by myself and set the correct filename rather than use the default one).
Also intercept program doesn't work on my computer.
While using this program it crashed several times damaging incomplete downloads.
VCR works with the following protocols:

You can use Auto option to automatically define protocol.

This program can record Windows Media streams, though only some versions of SVCR allow it.
